fake book cover for Big Sur

Just made this for no real reason, not sure i like it.

















I wanted a big imposing shape, looking sort of like a rock or cliff face, and I got that. The whole novel is building up to the breakdown of the narrator, and it all takes place around this isolated cabin. But the ending is uplifting, there's some hope when things sort of settle.

Maybe those little arrow things need to be coming out of the title? Whatever, what do I know about illustration?

I feel a bit pretentious posting this, since I have no real experience with actual clients buying my actual work, but here is a funny video taking the kinds of things bad clients say, with regards to paying for design work, and putting them in different situations. It's all very well getting preachy, internet typography poster, but what am I meant to change?

Poster does look quite nice though, but I don't need it trivialising blah blah etc etc.
